What Is a Minisite? An Affordable Start for Your Business

Introduce your business, attract enquiries from social media and build a foundation for a larger website—without buying separate hosting or a domain

If you need an online space to introduce yourself, showcase your services and make customer contact easier, a minisite can be a practical, affordable starting point—without taking on the cost and complexity of a larger website from day one.

I recommend a minisite for businesses that want a professional, organised introduction but do not yet need complex features. Instead of leaving information scattered across posts and messages, you have one clear link that introduces your business, explains your services and shows visitors how to reach you.

What can a minisite include?

A minisite is a small website with a clear purpose. Small does not mean incomplete; it means presenting the essential information in a compact, useful format.

Depending on your needs, it can include:

• Your name, logo and personal or business introduction.

• Selected services or products, with images, descriptions and prices where relevant.

• Examples of your work that help visitors understand your expertise.

• Contact options and links to WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and other communication channels.

• A layout that works on phones and computers.

• A dedicated link to share and guide visitors towards an enquiry, an order request or a consultation.

My aim is to help visitors quickly understand what you do, what you offer and how to take the next step.

Do you need to buy a domain, hosting or a server?

With the hosted model I offer, you do not need to purchase a separate domain, hosting plan or server. Your minisite is provided through a dedicated link on existing infrastructure, so you do not have to handle hosting setup or management yourself.

If having an independent domain is important to you, we can assess that requirement separately.

Why is a minisite an economical choice?

When your main goal is to introduce your business and receive enquiries, you do not need to pay for features you will not use yet.

A minisite is built around a clearly defined scope, which can keep the initial cost lower than that of a website with extensive functionality. With the hosted model, a separate domain and hosting purchase do not add to your upfront costs.

For me, an economical solution means spending on what your business can use today while keeping a sensible path open for tomorrow.

Lightweight, clear and built with growth in mind

When designing a minisite, I focus on clear information, optimised images and easy access to contact options. The aim is to help visitors explore your services without confusion, especially on a phone.

I build minisites with future development in mind. From the outset, I consider the foundation needed for foreseeable requirements, so we can later add pages and features and develop the minisite into a more comprehensive website.

Features such as online payments, customer accounts and order management still require separate planning and implementation. A foundation for growth does not mean every feature is included from day one.

Can you use a minisite on Instagram and other social platforms?

Yes. You can place your minisite link in your Instagram bio, social profile information, stories that support links and messages to customers—wherever links can be shared.

That link can become part of your lead generation process: someone discovers your content, visits your minisite, explores your services and work, then uses a clear contact option to enquire about a consultation or an order.

On Instagram in particular, a minisite helps turn the interest created by posts and stories into a clear next step. Visitors do not have to search through your posts to understand your services or find contact details. They can see the essentials in one place and make an enquiry more easily.

I design this journey to shorten the distance between interest and the first conversation. Lead generation results also depend on the quality of your content, the strength of your offer and how you respond to enquiries.

When do you need more functionality?

A minisite may be enough to introduce your services, display selected products and receive requests through your contact channels.

But if customers need to pay within the website, create an account or track their orders and requests, we need to add further functionality.

A practical example

A beauty professional could start by presenting services, showing selected work and offering a contact option for booking enquiries. If online booking and payments become necessary later, we can plan and implement that stage separately.

Let’s discuss the right minisite for your business.
